Amerigon Incorporated (NASDAQ: ARGN) is a leader in developing products based on advanced thermoelectric (TE) technologies for a wide range of global markets and applications. The Company’s initial product is its proprietary Climate Control Seat™ (CCS™) system, a TE-based system that permits drivers and passengers of vehicles to individually and actively control the heating and cooling of their respective seats to ensure maximum year-round comfort. CCS, which is the only system of its type on the market today, uses no CFCs or other environmentally sensitive coolants, and is currently featured in a large number of vehicle lines made by six of the world’s leading automobile manufacturers including Ford, General Motors, Toyota, Nissan, Honda and Hyundai. The Company expanded its product line in early 2008 with the initial shipments of a newly developed heated and ventilated seat system for use in the Nissan Teana for the Asian market. This product targets high volume, entry- to mid-level vehicles and markets outside the U.S. Amerigon’s majority-owned research and development subsidiary, BSST, is focused on advancing the science and applications of thermoelectrics.
