 Primary Health Properties invests in modern, high-quality healthcare properties in the United Kingdom. In January 2007 PHP became the first dedicated healthcare Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) ever established in the UK. PHP either owns the properties outright or holds long-term leases on the facilities and generates revenue and capital growth through rental income. PHP’s portfolio of 130 properties is 100 percent leased (average lease term is 17.3 years), the majority to general practitioners, pharmacies, dentists and other associated healthcare professionals. The Company’s dividend represented a yield of 6.0% at the end of 2009.
